Presentation 2 will present an overview of empirical research on the role of sex and gender in pediatric pain, with attention to the cisnormative and patriarchal biases that impact the delivery of inclusive pain care. Qualitative data will be presented on the perspectives of gender-diverse youth who live with chronic pain, to illustrate the unique experiences of pain and accessing healthcare that need to be considered in designing affirming pain treatments
