How do I register for the 2023 International Symposium on Pediatric Pain ISPP 2023? 
Registration is currently open. We accept all major credit cards, as well as ACH/Wire transfers for payment.

What are the COVID-19 precautions for the event?
The ISPP meeting will follow the Nova Scotia public health guidelines for COVID-19 precautions. Consistent with these guidelines, masking is not required but encouraged and welcomed. We urge all ISPP attendees to engage in good routine practices such as hand washing/sanitizing and to not attend ISPP if they are feeling ill or have any cold or flu symptoms. Masks and hand sanitization gel will be available on-site at the ISPP meeting 

What is included in the cost of my registration? 
Registration provides you access to all the plenary presentations, concurrent breakout sessions, and multiple social and networking receptions. Additionally, you will receive log-in credentials to utilize our mobile conference app to help navigate your meeting experience.

Will CME Credits be available for ISPP 2023?
No CME Credits will be available for this meeting.

Are meals included with my registration? 
Registration typically provides access to morning and afternoon coffee breaks, access to the Welcome Reception, and a closing reception on the final night of the meeting, including light fare, a drink ticket, and a cash bar.  


Can I cancel my registration? 
All cancellations are to be sent in writing to ispp@iasp-pain.org. Cancellations received before 4 August 2023 will be refunded less $100 USD for administrative costs. Beginning 5 August 2023 no refunds will be granted.  


Can I register on-site? 
We encourage all attendees to register in advance for the meeting. This allows us to plan accordingly for the appropriate number of attendees and manage any accommodations needed. We often offer an early-bird registration discount for those who register by the deadline.

How do I submit a proposal for ISPP 2023? 
Calls for workshop submissions closed on 12 January 2023. Poster abstracts is currently open and is scheduled to close 15 April 2023.  


Can I see what sessions will be presented before I arrive? 
Yes. The program for the meeting is posted online as soon as it is finalized. 


How can I find out when someone is scheduled to present? 
The searchable online schedule for the meeting will have information about each of the sessions and presenting speakers.  


Abstract word count? 
The word count in each open text box is the maximum amount of words. 


Where can I find guidelines and information about poster sessions? 
The call for poster abstracts is currently open. 

During the presentation time, attendees can interact with authors of the posters and discuss their research with them. You can visit the Poster Guidelines section on the International Symposium on Pediatric Pain website for information on poster guidelines and setup/break down times. 


How can I attend Education Day and Hands on Workshops? 
You can register for these events using the meeting registration form. Some may incur a registration fee, which is used to help offset the cost of organizing. 


What are the plenary sessions? 
Plenary sessions are lectures or presentations designed to appeal to a broad range of meeting attendees. 

 
Who can attend the Welcome Reception? 
All meeting attendees are invited to attend the Welcome Reception. Attendance is included in your registration. 

 
Does IASP have hotel rooms available for meeting attendees? 
Yes, we reserve blocks of rooms for several attendees. You can learn more about how to reserve a room in one of these hotels on the Hotel Information page. Because we reserve rooms in bulk, room rates are typically lower than hotels in the area and provide the convenience of being close to where most meeting activities take place. 


How do audio-visual requests work? 
Please contact Ann Weller at ann.weller@iasp-pain.org with requests for audio-visual needs. 


Is there Wi-Fi throughout the conference? 
Complimentary Wi-Fi will be available throughout the venue during the meeting. Passwords will be provided on-site at the meeting.
