Abstract Description
The pain of the fetus and newborn has long been denied or not treated adequately. In this session the speakers will explain the neurophysiological basis of childhood pain, the time of onset of pain sensitivity and the strategies that can be used to prevent and treat pain in the fetus and newborn.
