Abstract Description

Without specialist pain advice and out with cancer pain management, opioids should only be used in the management of chronic non-cancer pain in the most exceptional of circumstances.  16.3% of children with chronic non-cancer pain referred to our pain management service were taking opioids. The oral morphine equivalent daily dose ranged from 0.8mg to 63mg.
