Abstract Description

There is much dispute in the literature on how acute opioid toxicity should be managed in children. Naloxone protocols differ in dosing from 1-100mcg/kg in children. Clinical confusion in the dosing of naloxone could delay treatment with deleterious consequences. We conducted a literature review to allow us to develop a clinical guideline and quick reference poster on opioid toxicity management in our trust.
