Abstract Description
Virtual Reality (VR) provides an immersive positive distraction but little is known about VR use with patients with childhood onset disabilities or VR use in conjunction with sedative medications, like nitrous oxide. In this study we found VR was feasible and well-tolerated in conjunction with nitrous oxide during botulinum toxin injections in children with CP and can be considered for use in clinical practice for distraction and to potentially reduce concentrations of nitrous oxide required for pain management.
