METHADONE USE IN PEDIATRICS: IV TO PO CONVERSION RATIO -WD19

Poster Abstract

Abstract Description

Institution: Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Sainte-Justine (CHUSJ) - Québec, Canada

This retrospective descriptive study aims to establish an IV to PO ratio for methadone use in the pediatric population. This data would be derived from over a decade’s experience using IV methadone at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Sainte-Justine and includes a wide variety of pediatric pain conditions (surgical, auto-immune diseases, haemato-oncology and bone marrow transplant). This study will also provide a descriptive analysis of methadone conversion ratios as well as side effects and adverse events.
