Grading the severity of chronic pain in children and adolescents - a revised Pediatric Chronic Pain Grading (P-CPG) -TU27

Poster Abstract

Abstract Description

Institution: German Paediatric Pain Centre - Germany

A revised Pediatric Chronic Pain Grading (P-CPG) for children aged 8 – 17 years was developed that adds emotional impairment to previously used measures of pain intensity and functional impairment to comprehensively represent the severity of chronic pain. It is sensitive to display changes in pain severity after pain treatment and can be used as a multidimensional outcome measure in children and adolescents with chronic pain.
