Abstract Description

Institution: Stanford University School of Medicine - California , United States

Digital behavioral health interventions offer solutions to access to care barriers (e.g., shortage of services outside of urban areas, significant treatment related costs, long provider waitlists), but only 28% of digital interventions are disseminated adequately or timely, leading to suboptimal health care innovation and significant research waste. Researchers who develop digital behavioral health interventions identify challenges to development and implementation, including lack of programming skills required to develop a digital tool, timeline, cost, uncertainties related to partnering with software developers, and sustainability/maintenance.The aim of this study is to present our process of developing a digital behavioral health intervention and solutions for challenges and barriers identified by researchers in this field.
