Dr. Puckett-Perez is a board certified pediatric psychologist in the Gastroenterology department at Children's Medical Center, a large academic medical center in Texas, where she treats youth with abdominal pain and other GI conditions as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.  As part of her joint faculty appointment with the University of Texas, Southwestern she trains clinical psychology students, fellows, and medical residents in GI Psychology and health psychology skills. She is passionate about improving the patient experience for families of children with painful or distressing health conditions, particularly functional GI disorders. She  publishes and presents on this topic and has been featured in news, print, and podcast interviews, and especially enjoys helping physicians to more confidently and compassionately treat pediatric pain patients.
